New Year, New Semester

During the Christmas break from school, 2010 finally arrived! Adam and I spent New Year's Eve with many of our good friends. It's always fun to get together as a group. I can't wait for our next gathering and the annual beach trip. ;)

In addition to spending the new year with friends, of course Adam and I have hunted a lot despite the FREEZING weather. It snowed in Clay County (where Adam is from) and actually stuck in many places for a few days due to the cold temperatures. The green fields were so pretty. I love the snow, especially since it's such a rare occurrence here in the south.

Well, with the new year comes a new semester and I plan to try harder to update my blog more often than I did last semester. With classes starting back today, I'm getting back in the school/study mode. I'm going to miss spending time with my family and Adam, reading, and hunting. But, for now I guess it's back to the books!

Christmas Eve

Tonight I spent Christmas eve with my "second family" (The Laliberte's). Each year, since my family celebrates Christmas on Christmas day, I usually spend Christmas eve with one of my best friend's (Jeni) family. Jeni has been one of my best friends since kindergarten. On Christmas eve I usually watch Jeni open her gifts from Santa and her parents. :) Then we exchange our gifts to each other. I am so thankful for her family and our friendship.

It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

Wow! It sure has been a long time since I've been able to blog. School, school, school, and more school has had me so busy. The good news is the fall has flown by just like I thought it would and thankfully I survived yet another semester of pharmacy school. Now, I finally have a little time off to enjoy the most wonderful time of the year! I love this time of the year because of so many reasons...First, I get to spend time with friends, my family, and with Adam and his family. This is especially important to me since we all live so spread out from one another. My whole family (grandparents, cousins, aunts/uncles) lives in Panama City, FL. One of my brothers lives in SC. My parents still live in my hometown of Troy, AL. And Adam and his family are in Clay County of course. So, getting to see everyone makes this time of year very special. Secondly, I get to hunt! Yep, it's true. I love to hunt and enjoy it so much since it's a hobby that Adam AND I share. We try to go every chance we get while I am visiting him. Third, I don't have to study therefore I get to enjoy some of my hobbies that studying and school interferes with during the semester. I like reading, running, updating my blog (although you wouldn't think it by the looks of my blog), etc. :) One of my best friends (Court) introduced me to a series of books. They are Christian fiction and are called The Redemption Series by Karen Kingsbury. There are 5 books in the first series. I am reading the first of the 5 books and have not finished it, but so far I LOVE IT and recommend reading it if you have spare time. I could go on for days about why I enjoy the Christmas season so much. I won't. However, lastly and most importantly, I will say this time of year is a reminder of how great our God is and how he gave the greatest gift of all! As another year comes to an end, I realize how lucky I am to have seen another year come and go. I am so so so blessed and cannot wait to see what 2010 holds for the future!

Wedding Bells... No, Not Me

One of my best friends (Samantha) got engaged this weekend!!!!! I am so happy and excited for her and Zack! They got engaged in the mountains in a winter wonderland!!! It's so weird to see so many of my friends getting married, having children, and settling down. I look forward to my day. But for now, I am "married" to the HSOP and will have to wait. :) CONGRATS SAMANTHA! I LOVE YOU!!!!

Today is a good day!

Today is a good day! One, it is the first day of my favorite season, FALL! And two, it was 4 years ago today the sweetest boy and I "made it official." Adam and I began dating while we were both students here at Auburn University. I was just a sophomore and he was a senior. We had met prior to that year, but just briefly. It was really just one of those things where we were introduced and that was it...Never thought of again. At least not until fall of 2005. We ran into each other one night, sparks flew, and we've been together ever since! :) I cannot believe it's been 4 years. WOW! I look forward to many more years with Adam! I'm so blessed to have him and thank God for him daily. Here are a FEW pictures from the past 4 the years. I wish I could post all of them!
